For those that do not venture into Telara with us, it's sometimes hard for us to describe what Rift is. It has similarities to WoW and Everquest. It follows more of a traditional MMO structure than games like SWTOR, but not so much that you're thinking you're playing WoW or EQ from the moment you log in.

They've also made it easy for those wanting to check out Rift by introducing Rift Lite. Like WoW's Starter Edition, you can play for free up to level 20. No playtime restrictions, no credit card. Just create an account and go.
